Recipe: Toad in the Hole

Ingredients

  • 8 large sausages
  • 1 onion
  • 16 rashers of bacon
  • 100g plain flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 medium eggs, beaten
  • 300ml milk

Steps

  1. Wrap bacon around the sausages
  2. Put sausages and oil in roasting tray
  3. Cook for 5 - 10 minutes at 220 degrees
  4. Beat milk into eggs
  5. Put flour and salt in a mixing bowl
  6. Gradualy add milk and eggs
  7. Pour over sausages
  8. Slice onion
  9. Put onion on top of sausages
  10. Cook for 40 minutes at 220 degrees
